How do volunteer grant programs work?

When you participate in a volunteer grant program, it means our organization will not only benefit from the help you provide with your time but also with monetary support from your employer. As a result, it’s an easy way for volunteers to secure an extra financial contribution for our cause.

While the programs and processes can vary from one company to another, volunteer grant programs generally consist of five simple steps:

      1. An employee (such as yourself) volunteers with a nonprofit organization like Angela Hospice.
      2. The employee researches if their company offers volunteer grants and determines their eligibility for the program. (For this step, you can search for your employer’s volunteer grant guidelines using the box above.)
      3. The employee submits a volunteer grant request, either electronically or using a paper form.
      4. The organization (that’s us) validates the grant request. In other words, we confirm for your employer that you completed the volunteer hours you’ve indicated in your grant request.
      5. The company approves the grant request and makes a donation to our organization!
