Senior Information Technology Technician

We’re looking for a Senior Information Technology Technician who shares this vision.

Your Opportunities

  • Fields incoming help requests from end users via in-person, telephone and electronic format in a courteous manner
  • Builds rapport and elicits problem details from staff
  • Prioritizes and schedule problems
  • Delegates problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician
  • Records all pertinent information, tracks and documents the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken, through the final resolution
  • Applies diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
  • Accesses software updates, drivers, knowledge bases and frequently asked questions resources
  • Identifies and learns appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups and configuring systems and applications
  • Plans, designs procure, configures, installs, optimizes, manages and maintains optimal availability of all technology assets, including but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory domain infrastructure, MS and Sybase SQL Server, Windows: 10+, Server 2012+, Office365, MDM, Apple iOS, Android OS
  • Manages and supports telecommunications operations
  • Performs preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers and peripherals
  • Performs test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved
  • Evaluates documented resolutions and analyzes trends for ways to prevent future problems
  • Reviews, observes, and implements policy, procedures, and process change and/or creation
  • Develops help guides, instructional videos, and frequently asked question lists for end users
  • Maintains legacy systems and improves existing integration systems
  • Supports and manages audio and video systems
  • Manages, tracks, and supports assets using approved systems and documentation of changes, including recycling
  • Performs security monitoring, assessments, access control, and audits
  • Carries out project management of various types that are related to Angela Hospice
  • Works cooperatively with all levels of Angela Hospice
  • Attends mandatory general staff meetings, scheduled in-services and other meetings when assigned 

What You Bring

  • College diploma, university degree or certifications in the field of computer science or related field
  • 5 years’ work experience as an IT technician or relevant position preferred
  • A+, Security+, Network+, and Microsoft certifications preferred
  • Skilled in cybersecurity, backup systems, telecom, and software installation
  • Hands on experience with diverse computer systems and networks
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and managerial skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to take on projects and manage them through completion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
