Reports to: Environmental Services Supervisor
Starting Rate: $15/hour

We’re looking for an Environmental Services individual who shares this vision.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completes duties independently and inspects work to maintain compliance towards the standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Vacuums and spot cleans carpet
  • Dusts all surface areas
  • Dust mops and damp/wet mops all hard service floors
  • Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas
  • Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities as well as restock bathroom supplies as needed
  • Cleans and strips down patient rooms after receiving discharge notification
  • Prepares patient room for new admission, including restocking of linen and paper supplies
  • Assists with Care Center laundry needs such as removal of soiled linens, washing and drying, unload clean linen carts, deliver linen supplies and stock linens
  • Assists in keeping corridors clear of clutter, equipment, furniture, etc. for safety and aesthetic purposes
  • Assists in establishing and maintaining an environment that is clean and conducive to patients, visitors, and staff members well-being and safety
  • Performs duties while demonstrating knowledge of the health care cleaning and sanitizing principals and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, and equipment handling
  • Adheres to all organizational safety, risk management, and environmental and infection control standards
  • Identifies and reports building maintenance needs or repairs to immediate supervisor

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of environmental services experience preferred
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal directions, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 50 pounds or more
