Offer Rate: $28-$32 hourly

We’re looking for a Billing Services who shares this vision.

Your Opportunities

  • Prepares and submits timely Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance claims.
  • Ensures insurance authorization.
  • Maintains a current and complete billing record for each patient within the electronic medical record.
  • Evaluates denied claims, researches and resubmit claims appropriately for payment.
  • Initiates and/or responds to all correspondence and telephone calls related to patient billing
  • Serves as a resource for staff in providing information regarding available benefits and timely billing authorization procedures.
  • Participates in monitoring and alerting staff of patient claims that are nearing exhaustion of available benefits.
  • Monitors patient admission records for compliance to hospice billing guidelines for covered services.
  • Analyzes and reviews all reporting to meet or exceed collection goals.
  • Reviews and maintains knowledge of regulatory guidelines for changes and updates by insurance carriers’ regarding reimbursement procedures.   Ensures compliance with HIPAA and all relevant regulations.
  • Identifies and communicates to CFO deficiencies and potential processing or reimbursement improvements.
  • Reconciliations of patient accounts and other general booking functions
  • Preparing reports on billing and collections as needed.

What You Bring

  • Associates degree or related experience preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the area of hospice Medicare and third-party billing
  • Hospice claim processing experience required
  • Knowledge of hospice level of care insurance coverage required
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent reading, writing, grammar and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skill: Microsoft Office and EMR’s. Strong MS Excel skill is essential to position proficiency.
  • Experience with Medicare FISS and DEE system required
  • Proficient typing skills required
