Making decisions about end-of-life care is never easy. It’s a topic many of us avoid, but it also offers an opportunity to ensure that our wishes are honored, and our loved ones are supported. Whether you’re planning for yourself or a family member, being proactive can bring peace of mind during a difficult time.

That’s why we invite you to attend a free Planning for the End-of-Life Workshop. Hosted by the Archdiocese of Detroit, this workshop is designed to guide you through the important decisions and processes related to end-of-life planning.

Why You Should Attend

This workshop is an opportunity to take control of your end-of-life decisions, ensuring that your wishes are met, and your family is not left to navigate the complexities alone. Various members of the Angela Hospice team will be presenting at these workshops, along with other valuable community partners and collaborators such as Alliance Catholic Credit Union, Lourdes Senior Community, Michigan Funeral Directors Association, Catholic Foundation of Michigan, Resurrection Cemetery, Archdiocese of Detroit, and Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services. Other professions, including parish priests and experts in various fields, will provide valuable guidance on important topics, such as:

Toby, nicknamed “The Clock Guy,” found his passion in life almost by accident. His wife Leanne’s grandfather collected clocks, and after he passed away, Leanne’s grandmother asked for Toby’s help to repair some of her favorite clocks.

“She says, ‘Give it a whirl,’” Toby recalled. “I didn’t want to take it apart because it involved doing some things that I couldn’t reverse. I didn’t have the tools for that,” he continued.

But lo and behold, he was able to get the clock to strike again. And he’s fixed hundreds of clocks since.
