Amanda Sedlik

Director of Angela Hospice at Waterford

With a career including nursing, health informatics, leadership, and entrepreneurship, Amanda Sedlik brings her skills and heart for caring to Angela Hospice’s team. As the Director of Angela Hospice at Waterford, Amanda oversees the day-to-day operations of the center, in addition to providing compassionate care to patients and families. While Amanda began her healthcare journey providing hands-on care as a nursing assistant and nurse, she honed her talent for I.T. systems while participating in the implementation of electronic health record systems at Oakwood Healthcare, and went on to earn her Master of Science in Health Informatics from Walden University. Her Bachelor of Science in Nursing is from University of Detroit Mercy.

Amanda’s work in various clinical informatics settings provided the opportunity to lead large teams, and gain experience in the intricacies of health care management. A caregiving experience in her own family led to her interest in hospice care, and having visited Angela Hospice’s Waterford Care Center during its community open house, Amanda was drawn to the opportunity to serve there.
