Angela Hospice Career Fairs

May 5, 2021

Lisa C. Norton, Development & Communications Manager

What if we stopped asking people “What do you do for a living?” and started asking “How do you make a difference?” or “What is your purpose in life?” Angela Hospice seeks to help more individuals find their purpose through a rewarding career in the hospice field. We will be hosting a series of virtual career fairs to share this caring mission with local jobseekers.

Career fairs focused for nurses will take place on Wednesday, May 19, with two time slots to attend: 1-2 p.m. and 8-9 p.m. via Zoom. Career fairs for certified nursing assistants will take place Wednesday, May 26, 1-2 p.m. and 8-9 p.m.

Human Resources Director Kristy Hunley said Angela Hospice is looking to hire compassionate individuals for a variety of positions. Jobseekers will have the opportunity to network with current Angela Hospice team members and hiring managers, and get a firsthand look into the life of an Angela Hospice employee.

“We are excited to connect with talented community members who are eager to begin a career at a non-profit organization,” Hunley said.

For over 35 years, Angela Hospice has grown as a leader for end-of-life care in southeast Michigan. Founded by the Felician Sisters, Angela Hospice is rooted on values of respect, dignity, and compassion. Hunley said that caring vision extends not only to the patients and families served by Angela Hospice, but to its team members, colleagues, and the community. Angela Hospice is looking for applicants who share this vision.

“I think the best part about working at Angela Hospice is that the team lifts you up,” said nurse Eric Simpkins. “You’re appreciated for all your gifts and your talents. It’s just a beautiful place to work.” Eric has served as an Angela Hospice nurse for the past nine years.
