Teri Schmitchen

Teri Schmitchen joined the Angela Hospice team as Volunteer Services Coordinator in the summer of 2016, bringing with her over 14 years of experience in hospice volunteer administration, and a passion for a variety of volunteer program areas. A Certified Volunteer Administrator, Teri previously held the position of volunteer coordinator at both Arbor Hospice and Seasons Hospice, and served as Director of Volunteer Services at Seasons Hospice. In 2023, Teri was promoted to Director of Supportive Care for Angela Hospice, and now oversees the Grief Care, Spiritual Care, and Integrative Therapies teams, in addition to Volunteer Services. Teri is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator, as well as a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Instructor, offering education in mindfulness techniques to colleagues and groups within grief care and healthcare settings.
