A family experience with Angela Hospice’s care years ago helped lay the foundation for Rachel Meibers’s career. With an interest in gerontology, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospice and Palliative Care Studies from Madonna University. While working at Heartland Hospice as a team coordinator, she decided to pursue a nursing degree at University of Detroit Mercy. As a nurse, she worked in the pulmonary unit at Henry Ford Hospital, while going on to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization at Walden University.
Having completed board-certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Rachel joined the Angela Hospice team in June of 2024, supporting the home hospice program.
