Monarch Butterfly Release

With the current state of the world due to the pandemic,
our theme is renewal. Release a butterfly in memory of a
loved one, or release one for a new beginning.
Let this be a Renewal of good things to come.

Saturday 9/26 or Sunday 9/27

Butterfly pickup and hand feeding anytime
between 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, [choose your day]

Event activities include:

• Feed the butterflies and help prepare them for their long journey to the over-wintering sites in Mexico and learn about their migration route, over-wintering behavior and return.
• Receive your own Monarch butterfly to release in a personalized keepsake envelope with the tag number, tracking information, and websites with information about their incredible journey.

Cost:  $15 per person

Event is for ages 3 and above. All guests must have a ticket to participate.

Safety Policies and Supporting Angela Hospice:

Due to the constraints on gatherings, this year’s release will be different. Ticketed guests can attend anytime between 10:00 am – 5:00 pm to pick up their Monarch butterfly and participate in the butterfly feeding.  Five guests will be allowed access to the feeding tent at a time, and MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO THE TENT. You can release your butterfly on site, or take it home to release that day.

We are very proud to partner with Angela Hospice again.  This year, all profits will be donated to Angela Hospice.

This is a ticketed event, advance ticket sales only.  Must purchase online, in store, or by phone, no later than September 20th.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. You must show your order confirmation printed, or on your mobile device to redeem your butterfly and to access the butterfly feeding tent.

*Parking in our back lot is limited. Parking available down Canterbury Drive off 7 Mile. Our front parking lot is reserved for handicap drop-off and regular shopping customers throughout the event’s time frame.
