From Family to Philanthropy

Jennifer Dale, Director of Development

February 3, 2022

My mom was my best friend; my hero. When I lost her, my world fell apart. But through the care, support, and comfort I received from my dad (who I lost two years after mom), my husband, sister, children, and above all mom’s hospice team, I knew life would continue on for me. I also knew I owed hospice much more than a “thank you,” or any amount of donation I could give. So when the Director of Development position at Angela Hospice opened up, I knew I was destined to be a part of this team that makes a difference every day.

The true definition of philanthropy is “the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good cause” — causes like Angela Hospice. As a steward of your donations — no matter the size, occasion, or frequency — I lead a team of fantastic individuals who cherish your generosity and ensure it is used accurately and appropriately.

Director of Development, Jennifer Dale.

Philanthropy is about human connection. And it is my hope, plan, and wish, to connect with you and build long-lasting relationships. I am interested in hearing how we can become partners and best connect. In the future you will hear about giving opportunities such as annual giving, donor-advised funds, corporate engagement, Legacy Society, and Angela’s Allies — all avenues for you to give to Angela Hospice’s mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and Christ-like care. If you are interested in hearing more about these, please contact me now or look here for future installments and information.

I have been told I have a “hospice heart,” which I consider to be a sincere compliment; I look forward to hearing how your heart lead you to Angela Hospice. Whether you are a one-time donor, a monthly donor, or have included Angela Hospice in your estate planning, we appreciate you, we value you, and we thank you.
